The "Lord of the Rings"
It was born in 1961 in Chiuppano, in the industrial zone just north of Vicenza with a very distinct purpose: to manufacture rolled rings - on a small, medium and big scale - but always maintaining a very high quality standard. Asfo is part of the Fomas Group, world leader in forging.
Celebrating our forty years, we can look back not only to count the number of candles on the cake but with the knowledge that our strength can be found in the many year's experience in working steel, rolling and heat treatment.We can not say that the great writer Tolkien took his inspiration from us when he wrote his best-seller "Lord of the Rings", but we like to believe that we too - just like the main characters in his book - know a whole load of secrets about "rings", even though our research work never stops, and each day we look into new ideas, new technologies, new advantages that are offered to a worldwide clientele.
The future
The present is based on the past while the future is the bridge we all have to cross and we have to make sure it is solidly and safely built.
For this reason, alongside experience, constant attention is paid to designing the production equipment so that we can always be in the fore. And then we get to our "obsession" concerning quality which, if it is going to be something more than just a simple word, it must mean highly accurate control systems that are able to guarantee repeatability, perfect conformity and absolute precision
We have learnt that steel, however hard it may be, can be shaped as we want: though you have to have the right tools and the capability. We have also learnt to shape ourselves too not with presses but with the demands of our customers, market expectations and the desire to forge ahead.
